Who are we?

The Association of Running Clubs, a Company Limited by Guarantee, is a

governing and/or affiliating body for clubs and associations in the U.K. whose

activities include road, and off road, running. It provides its members

with rules, standards, insurance and race permits.

What data do we collect

ARC collects and stores contact data relating to the Representative (usually the

Secretary) of the affiliated club/association with their permission. The data held

is: Club/Association name, Representative Name, Address, Phone Number, Email

address

Why do we collect this data?

The purpose of holding this information is to enable ARC to communicate with

member clubs and associations. It is not used for any other purpose.

Who do we share this data with?

The circulation of this information is restricted within ARC and is not passed to

anyone outside ARC.

How do we store the data?

The information is stored on the password protected PC of the ARC secretary and

on secure commercial cloud storage.

How you can see what we hold

Individuals who wish to review, amend or have deleted information stored

concerning them should contact the ARC secretary by email on

secretary@runningclubs.org.uk . If you are not happy with the data we hold on

you please contact the ARC secretary. If you are still not happy you can contact

the Information Commissioners Office – ICO.org.uk

How long do we hold this data?

As long as a club or association is a member of ARC we will hold the contact

details of their representative. At each membership renewal we will check that

we hold details of the relevant person. If a club or association withdraws from

membership of ARC we will delete this data after two years.
